To foster a comprehensive AI ecosystem, we need to bring together experts from industry, institutions, communities, and governments.
30% of our work involves low-profit initiatives—working with institutions, communities, mentorship, or being part of accelerator programs. This takes time and drives lower margins, so why do we do it?
I truly believe that without supporting and growing a proper ecosystem, long-term sustainable growth cannot be achieved. Yes, we could benefit from the positive spill-over from the work others do, but I firmly believe that only by actively engaging in fostering a robust ecosystem can we secure long-term benefits.
When we come together, bringing our ideas and energy to the table, and then finalize and take action, we become powerful forces for real change. That’s why I’m so grateful that we get the chance to work with the federal government in Germany, the team of nexxt from Drees and Sommer, the digihub here in NRW, and institutions such as KI Park in Germany, and many more. It's inspiring to see people pushing for change and bringing their energy into the ecosystem.
💡 The same goes for the importance of open source, as always championed by Yann LeCun. Open access to AI technologies drives innovation and democratizes research, enabling broader collaboration across the global AI community, and therefore strengthens the ecosystem.
We believe that open-source technologies not only fuel innovation but also allow for a more inclusive and collaborative AI community. By sharing knowledge and resources, we create an environment where everyone can contribute to, and benefit from, the growth of AI.
