🔄 How AI is Revolutionizing Business Processes: From Semi-Automated to Fully Automated

We recently worked on automating processes with one of our customers. This case is particularly interesting because it’s similar across many industries. So, we thought it would be valuable to share how AI has transformed various business processes. 🧠

AI’s ability to handle unstructured data has allowed processes to become fully automated, apart from specific steps like approval processes and dealing with older technologies such as invoices sent by post—yes, even in Germany, we still encounter invoices sent by mail and occasionally even fax! 📠

For example, AI can detect if an email contains an important document, like an invoice, and automatically initiate the appropriate process. AI then scans the document and extracts key information from unstructured data, even when it's handwritten or the quality is suboptimal.

📝 By transforming unstructured data into structured data early on, the rest of the process can be automated with rule-based "standard" automation. This leaves only critical steps, such as approvals, for human oversight, reducing the workload significantly. ✅

🌟 This approach is especially important for small businesses, where the owner often handles many tasks, including payments. Large companies with complex approval processes can also benefit from the improved efficiency, freeing up leadership teams to focus on more strategic decisions rather than administrative tasks. 🚀

This is another great example of how automating non-critical business tasks can free up valuable resources and allow businesses to concentrate on what matters most. 💼

What other mundane tasks have you automated with AI to free up your time for more important work?
